This was a complete surprise! Target stores all over the US just started carrying this Buldak Yakisoba flavor recently (and perhaps exclusively). If you’re a fan of Buldak and yakisoba, there’s a few things you need to know before you buy this variety, so make sure to check out the review!
Shortly after filming, Japanese Snacks Republic sold out of all three of these flavors completely. I would love to believe that was because of me!
Unfortunately, the best of these three, the Chicken Supreme Sauce flavor, seems to be in dwindling supply already if it’s not completely gone. Which really stinks because it is my favorite Cup Noodle flavor of all time at this point.

I couldn’t wait to get into these new Cup Noodles I got from Japan. This is a trio of French-inspired flavors in Cup Noodle form: Lobster Bisque, Sea Bream & Scallop Bouillabaisse, and Chicken Supreme Sauce Truffle flavors. Watch the video to learn all about these flavors and which ones are worth buying!
Have you been dying to get your hands on Japanese instant ramen but you don’t live in Japan? I discovered this site from a random Reddit post, japanese-snacks-republic.com, and they have an insane amount of noodles, snacks, and other goodies that you can order. This video is not sponsored, but is just an enthusiastic look at some stuff I recently bought from them.
Did you know that there’s a variety of Funyuns that tastes like ramen? In this review, I’ll do a deep dive into both the Maruchan Instant Lunch flavor that inspired the Funyuns and let you know if these products taste at all similar. Check it out!

Following up on the review of the pack version of Buldak Mala in episode 164, here’s the other version of Samyang Buldak Mala that’s out there: a flat noodle variety in a bowl. This one is easier to find, but does it taste as good? Watch the review to learn how this compares!
I spotted this Vegan Curry Noodles bowl from Nongshim in Walmart recently. There’s a lot to like about this one: low-ish sodium, vegan, lots of good vegetables listed in the ingredients. Check out the video for the full review!
We’ve got a three-part mega-review today with this brand-new product line from Samyang! If you love the idea of Hispanic flavors in your instant noodles, you’re going to want to check out this review of Samyang Picantia Jalapeno Chicken, Chipotle Beef, and Cajun Shrimp ramen noodle soups.
One look at the noodles on this packaging and I knew I had to try them. This is a hot and sour broad noodle from China made by Baijia, and it has been recommended to me a few times now. Check out the review for all the details about this flavor.
Here’s something unique from Nissin that all you Buldak fans might be interested in: noodles infused with chili pepper! This affordable little pack of noodles promises a spicy kick and some authentic chicken flavor, but it comes with what I would consider a massive flaw. Watch the review to learn more.
Scores:
Noodles: 3/10 (but can be improved by lowering the cooking time)
Spiciness: 6.5/10
Overall: 6/10 (would have been higher if not for the overcooked noodle texture)
I had someone who works for Thai Authentic/Norita (I think the owners) leave me a comment on this video asking me to email them. I did so and got no response. If you’re reading this and would still like to get in touch, please email me! I really enjoyed your products and would love the chance to review anything you may be coming out with in the future!
