Nissin Chilled Cup Noodles Review | Noodle Journey Episode 223

These are two hot, well, not exactly hot, new products from Japan that take the basic Cup Noodles preparation method and change the most fundamental part of it. Nissin Chilled Cup Noodles come in Chicken, Salt, and Lemon and Spicy Kimchi flavors, and you prepare both with cold water. Not hot water followed by a trip to the refrigerator. Not hot water with some ice cubes thrown in afterward. These are made with refrigerated water poured directly into the cup, and they’re ready to eat in five minutes. I know, it’s wild, right?

Samyang Buldak Rosé Spicy Ramen (US Version) Review | Noodle Journey Episode 222

Today’s review is kind of an update to the review all the way back in episode 90 where I reviewed the version of Samyang Buldak Rosé sold in South Korea. It’s no longer necessary to jump through hoops to import Buldak Rosé, but is it the same recipe? Today I’m reviewing this pack of Samyang Buldak Rosé, the version specifically exported to the US from South Korea.

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Korean Gochujang Beef Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Korean Gochujang Beef Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Korean Gochujang Beef is the third and currently final product I'm reviewing from the Ramen Bistro line, and it's also supposed to be the spiciest of the three. Since this flavor originally came out in 2024, Nissin has launched its Top Ramen HotPot Fusions line, which also features a spicy Korean beef variety. I wonder if this variety uses the same flavoring as that one, or if it will be a different recipe. Let's find out!

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Sichuan Garlic Chicken Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Sichuan Garlic Chicken Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Sichuan Garlic Chicken is the next flavor I'm tackling in the Ramen Bistro lineup, and I think it's probably the most interesting of the three, especially given the flavor issue I had with the Japanese Miso variety. A lot of the time you'll find Sichuan spices paired with beef, but in this case we've got a chicken broth instead. This should be interesting.

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Japanese Miso Flavor Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Japanese Miso Flavor Review | Noodle Journey

Nissin Cup Noodles Ramen Bistro Japanese Miso Flavor is the first review I’m doing of this Ramen Bistro product line, which was launched back in 2024. I was hoping to do a video mega-review of the whole product line, but you know how it goes, other things have taken priority. There are currently three products in this line, all of them featuring chili-infused noodles with what Nissin promises are “bold flavors” and “hearty vegetables.” Don’t worry, I will be reviewing all three products in this line, but let’s start with this one first.

Nongshim Neoguri Spicy Seafood Stir-Fry Noodles Review | Noodle Journey

Nongshim Neoguri Spicy Seafood Stir-Fry Noodles Review | Noodle Journey

Here's one I should have reviewed a long time ago: Nongshim Neoguri Spicy Seafood Stir-Fry Noodles. If you never watched my 25th episode spectacular from way back when, I pitted the soup versions of Neoguri against each other, Korean export vs. American manufactured, and it was a pretty interesting experiment and it gives you an idea as to what Neoguri's all about. Basically, it's a thick-noodled spicy beef and seafood broth concoction not too dissimilar from jjambbong, and it's also available in this stir-fry form if you prefer something brothless.

Maggi Classic Masala Noodles Review | Noodle Journey

Maggi Classic Masala Noodles Review | Noodle Journey

It has been quite a while since I touched Maggi noodles, so when I saw these Maggi Classic Masala Noodles in my local Grocery Outlet (along with a couple other flavors that I'll get to eventually), I thought it was high time to revisit the brand. Now, just as before, this comes with the standard warning: Maggi is owned by Nestle, and Nestle has done enough terrible things to warrant a #fucknestle hashtag on social media, so you are well within your rights to not want to support the company. Having purchased these from an outlet store, the minimum amount of money possible was exchanged between me and Nestle for the purposes of this review. With all that said up front, read on for the review.
