Today I've got something new and seemingly pretty unique from Ramen Bae: Ramen Hot Sauce. This is a very specifically marketed product and I've just never quite seen anything like it before. Ramen Bae is normally known for their dried toppings that you cook with your noodles, but this is something completely different. It's a jarred hot sauce whose flavor profiles are supposed to be complimentary to instant ramen. And yeah, we've already got things like chili crisp that can handle that, but Ramen Bae is calling this a hot sauce, not a chili crisp or chili oil, even though the description lists chili, garlic, and oil. From what I can see of the consistency in this jar, it makes me think that calling this a "hot sauce" is a marketing tactic. This does kind of look like chili crisp, so once I open this up we're going to find out if that's really the case together.

Ramen Toppers Black Garlic Chicken for Noodles Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
I don't use the term "game changer" lightly, but what I have here for review today might just be that: Ramen Toppers Black Garlic Chicken for Noodles. If you haven't seen Ramen Toppers before, this is an American-made dried Ramen topping brand, and their revamped Pork and Fish Cake mix is legitimately one of my favorite products. It's something I use frequently when I make Japanese instant ramen. When I saw that this new Black Garlic Chicken mix had started to pop up on Amazon recently, I got in touch with my contact over there and asked if I could have a canister to review, and so they obliged, and I am beyond excited to try this.
Samyang Buldak Dumplings Review | Noodle Journey
When I first saw Samyang Buldak Dumplings in the frozen section, I bought them purely out of curiosity without any intention to review them. I mean, after all, these aren't exactly noodle. My wife and I had tried them a couple months ago and quickly forgot about them until I found the bag buried in the freezer while cleaning. But since people on Reddit frequently ask about these or are surprised to learn they exist, and because they are technically noodle-adjacent as a product, I decided it was worth making an official Noodle Journey review to settle the question once and for all.
Ramen Toppers Vegetable Mix for Noodles Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
After re-reviewing Ramen Toppers’ Chashu Pork, Fish Cake, and Vegetable Mix and awarding it a perfect score, I was excited to try their other major product: the Ramen Toppers Vegetable Mix for Noodles. This mix contains the same vegetables found in the Chashu blend - peas, corn, cabbage, carrots, and green onion - but without the meat or fish elements, making it completely vegan. Ramen Toppers sent me this canister at the same time as the Chashu sample so I could evaluate both.
Ramen Toppers Chashu Pork, Fish Cake, & Vegetable Mix (2024 Recipe) Re-Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
I’m doing something I’ve never done before: a full re-review of a product that I didn't love originally. Back in September 2023, I covered Ramen Toppers Chashu Pork, Fish Cake & Vegetable Mix and walked away unimpressed. I found the pork to be tough and flavorless, the vegetables pale and unappealing, and at nearly twenty-five dollars a jar, I couldn’t justify recommending it. Fast-forward nine months, and the company themselves reached out to me to say they’d completely overhauled the recipe and wanted me to give it another shot. I respect any business that takes constructive feedback seriously, so when they offered to send me the updated version, I said yes without hesitation. If you watch the video above, you can see a comparison of the old recipe's contents to the new.
Ramen Bae Dried Enoki Mushroom Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
I’m reviewing the second of Ramen Bae’s new April 2024 products: Ramen Bae Dried Enoki Mushroom. Enoki mushrooms are those long, delicate strands you often find in Asian soups and hot pots, adding crunch and a mild, sweet mushroom flavor. They’re fantastic to cook with, but fresh enoki usually has a short shelf life and isn’t easy to find. I’ve got one Asian market about half an hour away that sells them, and they only last around a week before going bad. Ramen Bae’s dried version solves that problem with a pack that stays shelf-stable for over a year.
Ramen Bae Kimchi Mix Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
Ramen Bae has released another mix, and this time it’s one I’ve been waiting for: Ramen Bae Kimchi Mix. After their earlier Spicy Garlic Mix showed promise but stumbled on its overuse of subpar dehydrated egg, the company listened to feedback and reworked future batches. Seeing that kind of responsiveness made me eager to try their newest products, especially this one, which promises classic kimchi flavor in a shelf-stable form.
Ramen Bae Dried Japanese Fish Cake aka Narutomaki Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
Ramen Bae Dried Japanese Fish Cake aka Narutomaki is a stealth release that slipped out sometime between their Veggie Mix and Spicy Garlic Mix. I completely missed it until recently and decided it deserved a review. While the Spicy Garlic Mix disappointed me, this one looked promising. And yes, to be clear, the full name of the product is indeed "Dried Japanese Fish Cake aka Narutomaki" as printed on the bag, which is kind of a mouthful but I guess it covers all of their bases.
Ramen Bae Spicy Garlic Mix Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
Ramen Bae Spicy Garlic Mix launched on February 1, 2024, after months of teasing, and I grabbed a pack the second it became available on their site. I’ve recommended Ramen Bae countless times on Reddit whenever people ask how to spruce up their noodles, and I’ve reviewed both their Classic Seafood & Vegetables Mix and their Veggie Mix in past reviews. Both were solid products worth your attention if you like the ingredients.
Ramen Bae Veggie Mix Review | Noodle Journey Supplemental Episode
Today I’m reviewing another noodle supplement from Ramen Bae - this time, their completely vegan and gluten-free Ramen Bae Veggie Mix. I’ve covered Ramen Bae before in my review of their Classic Seafood and Vegetables Mix, which launched to a great reception after they sought feedback on Reddit. Many people immediately requested a vegetarian alternative without seafood, and this variety, released in June 2023, is the result. As with the previous version, this mix is designed to stir into any cup or bagged noodles for an extra boost of toppings.
