Noodle Journey is an episodic YouTube channel dedicated to detailed and informative reviews of the instant noodle universe. This website provides a fully searchable index of every video, allowing you to find your next favorite instant noodle product. Some reviews have additional thoughts that I have added since the video was published.
Here’s something unique from Nissin that all you Buldak fans might be interested in: noodles infused with chili pepper! This affordable little pack of noodles promises a spicy kick and some authentic chicken flavor, but it comes with what I would consider a massive flaw. Watch the review to learn more.
Scores:
Noodles: 3/10 (but can be improved by lowering the cooking time)
Spiciness: 6.5/10
Overall: 6/10 (would have been higher if not for the overcooked noodle texture)
I had someone who works for Thai Authentic/Norita (I think the owners) leave me a comment on this video asking me to email them. I did so and got no response. If you’re reading this and would still like to get in touch, please email me! I really enjoyed your products and would love the chance to review anything you may be coming out with in the future!

This mega-review takes an in-depth look at some noodle products that have started showing up in Dollar Tree stores across the USA! I’ll go through all four of the current products from Thai Authentic and Norita (which actually appear to be the same company): Sriracha Shrimp Ramen, Tonkotso Ramen with Miso, Chicken Curry Ramen, and Tempura Udon Shrimp Soy Sauce flavor.
Scores:
Thai Authentic Sriracha Shrimp Ramen:
Noodles: 4/10
Spiciness: 3.5/10 (2.5 without the sriracha sauce added)
Overall: 7/10
Norita Tonkotsu Ramen with Miso:
Noodles: 4/10
Spiciness: 4.5/10 (1/10 without the spicy sauce added)
It’s yakisoba time! Nissin’s U.F.O. product line is one of the most popular yakisoba lines in the world, but it’s not very easy to get in the USA. Fortunately, my local Asian market sells this version made for export to Hong Kong, and so I decided it’s high time I review one of the famous U.F.O. noodles for myself.
These thick, broad noodles paired with a salty, meaty broth looked incredible and so I had to buy them for a review. Not all is what it seems with this unique Chinese soup! Check out the video to learn more.
Could this be my favorite cold noodles product of all time? Yes, yes it could.

After the last cold noodle review I did was a rousing disappointment, I decided I needed at least one more for this hot summer. I happened upon Nongshim’s Noodle Salad with Miso Vinaigrette at my local Asian market just in time for this review. Check it out!
Once upon a time, there was a much-loved Buldak flavor that Samyang mysteriously discontinued. Since then, month after month, people have asked, “Can I still find Buldak Mala anywhere?” The answer is: yes, you can. You might not know it, but it still exists. And here it is, in a very special review.
How to purchase:
Please see this Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/InstantRamen/comments/1djcc6h/buldak_mala_surplus/ Or email the seller directly at [email protected] for more information. I can personally vouch for this seller as a current source that can ship you Buldak Mala. While I don’t believe there is anything in Buldak Mala that could be flagged by local customs, please check your country’s import laws before agreeing to a purchase. Neither the seller nor I are responsible for any lost, damaged, or intercepted packages.
This is the one I recommend most when someone asks for vegan noodle options. As good as Nongshim Soon is, this blows it out of the water.

Time for something vegan! This is Samyang Vegetasty Noodle Soup, which has been around for a long time under other names, but I’ve only recently started seeing it available for purchase where I live. If you’re a fan of Nongshim Soon or you are just generally interested in vegan chili soups, this is a review you’re going to want to watch.
I’ve seen some faint praise of this product since filming where people have said, “It’s so refreshing!” While that may be true, I just could not get into this. The flavor is minimal and bland, and I’m sure I could’ve figured out a way to make it taste better, but I had better things to do that day.

It’s summertime, and you know what that means: cold noodles! This time we’ve got something truly unique from Ottogi with their Kongguksu flavor. This is a cold soy broth intended to refresh you when it’s hot. Check out the review to see how it actually tastes.
This is probably tied with immi’s Black Garlic “Chicken” as the worst thing I’ve reviewed on this channel. There’s a guy on Reddit who pops up every now and then to say how much he likes these, and I compulsively downvote him each time because he is very, very wrong. There’s absolutely nothing to like about this, and I will die on that hill.

You noodle lovers are not prepared for what Nissin has just added to its Cup Noodles line: Campfire S’mores Ramen. Will this be a surprisingly good flvaor or an unholy abomination? Watch the video for my (very) unfiltered review!
What a terrible disappointment. Just to be sure I wasn’t crazy, the next time I ordered as-authentic-as-I-could-find Vietnamese food after filming this, I ordered Bún Bò Huế, and it was nothing like this (in the best possible way). Everything about this bowl tastes wrong to me, from the noodle texture to the broth flavor to those suspect little balls in the dried ingredients.

I’ve had a craving lately for one of my favorite Vietnamese dishes, Bún Bò Huế, which is a rich, herby, beefy soup with a good spice to it. This product from Simply Food is the first time I’ve seen it in instant form. Will this be a winner or a pale imitation of the real thing? Check out the video for all the details.
