Noodle Journey Episode 150: Paldo Strawberry Bibimmen

Notes since filming:

Even with all of the off-the-wall flavors Nissin has come out with in their American Cup Noodles, this might still be the strangest flavor I’ve reviewed. What’s stranger is how unexpectedly good it is! If this one ever comes back seasonally and you can find it, you should definitely give it a whirl.

It’s time to celebrate 150 reviews with one of the most unexpected flavor combinations you’re ever likely to see. Paldo’s excellent Bibimmen noodles combined with strawberry powder?! If your curiosity is piqued, you’ll want to check out this review, because this product is a limited edition!

Noodle Journey Episode 149: Samyang Sutah Ramen

Notes since filming:

I see people speak very highly of Sutah and wonder what I’m missing. Yeah, it’s alright, but it didn’t knock my socks off. Maybe a re-review is in order someday down the line.

Original video description:

Here’s an older product from Samyang that I’ve never tried before, their Sutah Ramen. What does Sutah mean? How is this different from other spicy artificial beef soups? Watch the review to find out!

Noodle Journey Episode 148: immi Black Garlic “Chicken” Ramen

Notes since filming:

The first 0 score for both noodles and flavor in the channel’s history, and I can’t think of anything I’d rather eat less than this. I think it’s fair to say I’ve never hated a product more than I hate this one. Healthy food already gets a bad reputation, and immi isn’t helping with their absolutely terrible-tasting noodles (in my opinion). Don’t believe the “customer” reviews on Facebook.

Since filming this video, this variety and their Spicy “Beef” flavor have started to appear in Target stores at a $3.99 price point. At that price point, I am happy to increase my score to a 0.5/10 because, if you absolutely have to eat these noodles, it’s slightly less of a price gouge than $5.99 at Wegman’s.

Original video description:

I’ve seen these advertised everywhere and decided it was time to see what all the hype was about. immi is a brand of very expensive, nutritionally-superior ramen that has some very interesting noodles. If you’ve wondered about how good immi tastes in relation to its price and health benefits, you’re going to want to check out this review. Be sure to watch til the end!

Noodle Journey Supplement Review: Ramen Bae Dried Japanese Fish Cake aka Narutomaki

Notes since filming:

Ramen Bae sells a full-sized version of this now! Assuming the quality is as good as this bag of mini-narutomaki, I would also give it a strong recommendation.

Original video description:

Did you know that you can buy shelf stable Japanese fish cake from Ramen Bae? This product flew in under my radar sometime in the last few months, and so I bought a bag for a review. I also dive a little bit into what fish cake is and compare Ramen Bae’s product to the frozen narutomaki you may find at your local Asian grocery store.

Noodle Journey Episode 147: Samyang Tangle Kimchi Rosé Tangluccine

Notes since filming:

Having made this a few times since filming, I think it’s worth mentioning that this smells a lot funkier while it’s cooking than it tastes when it’s all done. The kimchi mellows out surprisingly well, and I maintain that even people who hate kimchi might actually like this one.

Original video description:

Samyang’s Tangle Bulgogi Alfredo flavor is one of my current favorites, so I was super excited to finally get my hands on their Tangle Kimchi Rosé flavor after searching for it for months. Check out this review to see if it was worth the wait.
